The Hospice Hub is recruiting for a Registered Nurse/Registered Practical Nurse to fill the part-time position (approx. 21 hours per week) one year term position of Nurse Coordinator, Home Support. The Nurse Coordinator provides clinical oversight of The Hospice Hub’s Home Support Program.

June Callwood Circle of Outstanding Volunteers Award to past ED and current board member Anne Janssen, a celebration and sharing of volunteer experiences lead by volunteer coordinator Lori Cunniffe, and an address by new executive director Mary-Lou Hussak.

We are excited to announce the launch of our first strategic plan which will guide our efforts over the next three years (2025-2028). The plan was developed in collaboration with board members, the Executive Director, staff, and our community volunteers.

🎉 Hike for Hospice raises over $57,000 for end of life care

Thanks to all who hiked, volunteered, donated, and cheered us on at the Hike for Hospice - we raised over $55,000! Join us on June 24th for our AGM and volunteer appreciation event.

We are once again blown away by the generosity of this community. After putting out our appeal last week, we not only met our goal but surpassed it - raising over $57,000 to support end of life care for those in the communities served by the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital.

🎉👏🥳👏 To everyone who donated, volunteered, hiked and spread the word - THANK YOU!

And a special thank you to the anonymous donor who provided the $5,000 donation match to help us make our target, and to Paul and Lana From who were inspired to donate an additional $5,000.

May 4 to 10, 2025 is National Hospice Palliative Care Week in Canada.

Although often associated with end-of-life, palliative care is an approach to care which can be delivered alongside curative treatments, at any point in the illness trajectory where there are quality of life issues or unmet needs.

National Hospice Palliative Care Week is the time to celebrate and highlight the incredible work to provide quality palliative care across the country. Join us in recognizing the impact of palliative care on families, and call for better access to this care for all ❤️
