March is Nutrition Month!
This year's focus is on "Nourish to Flourish". Though some may consider it a vague topic, I'm hoping we can appreciate it's simplicity: Eat well to feel your best. If you're feeling stuck with nutrition, consider some tips below.
- Build a balanced, standard grocery list of staples to have all the time. Include easy proteins (eggs, pumpkin seeds, pulses, frozen peas or edamame beans, canned fish, greek yogurt, cheese), easy produce (frozen mixed vegetables, root vegetables like carrots and turnips, greens), and easy, high-fibre grains (oats, rice or quinoa, potatoes, wraps).
-Cook only as frequently as needed (plan leftovers every second and or third day). Include others in the house to help cook and plan.
-Eat at consistent times (don't skip meals!). Take time to eat and enjoy your meal with someone.
