Today is Self-Love Day!
We spend so much of our time fixated on our “flaws”, trying to change all the parts of ourselves we don’t like. We prioritize everything and everyone else, putting ourselves last on the list.
I hope you’re able to remember this more than once a year, but today is a good reminder that YOU are perfect just the way you are. YOU are important. YOUR needs are important.
Self-love can encompass many different things, whether it’s:
❤️ finding opportunities to express your authentic self,
❤️ seeking pleasure from your favourite activities (and foods!),
❤️ finding acceptance of those “flaws”,
❤️ offering yourself some compassion when you make mistakes, or
❤️ trusting yourself to make choices that feel right for you
…among many others!
The more we can foster self-love, the less we need to look for that external validation when it comes to our bodies. We innately understand that we are worthy. Sounds pretty good, right? Take the time to prioritize YOU (today and everyday)!
