Dr .Chambers has wanted to be a plastic surgeon every since he was little. He delights in all areas of his career from the functional aspect of repairing a severed tendon and making a finger work again to changing the shape of someone’s nose. He is very passionate about facial reconstruction after trauma but above all just loves seeing happy patients. He also has a passion for learning which is another aspect of plastic surgery and practicing medicine that is so appealing to him; it is a career of lifelong learning.
Dr. Chambers received his undergraduate degree from McGill University, then did research for BC Childrens Hospital and University of British Columbia before completing his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at University of British Columbia. After this he did his residency training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Ottawa. Following board certification from the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada (FRCS(C)), he chose to undertake additional sub-specialization in adult Craniofacial Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the University of Toronto. During his fellowship, he trained at Sunnybrook Hospital with two of Canada’s top reconstructive and facial aesthetic surgeons.
Dr. Chambers has completed two international missions, one to Uganda to perform reconstruction on thermal and acid burn victims and a second to Kiev, Ukraine as part of a reconstructive team working on soldiers
He has completed extensive training in aesthetic medicine, both surgical and nonsurgical, and has a special interest in rhinoplasty (nose job) surgery. He regularly attends national and international meetings as well as participates in medical trainees’ education to ensure he is able to offer the newest and best surgical and nonsurgical options to all patients in his practice.
When he is not busy in his practice, he enjoys spending time with his family as well as fishing, as well as fishing some more.
