Welcome to our newest team member!

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Rebecca Shaw BEng, DC to our Shining Waters Chiro Team!
Rebecca will be starting with us on Tuesday, May 13th.

I was born and raised in Caledon and attended the University of Guelph earning a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering. Following that, I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and graduated with my Doctor of Chiropractic in February 2025.

I was first drawn to pursuing a career in chiropractic after my scoliosis spinal fusion surgery. Following the surgery, I experienced some back pain flare ups and a few years later I decided to go see my parents’ chiropractor. Once I started receiving regular chiropractic care I have not had any of those flare ups.

As a chiropractor, I am excited about helping my patients feel the same relief of symptoms that I did, so they can live the active and healthy life they are seeking! I love treating patients of all ages.

I look forward to exploring the Peterborough area and discovering all it has to offer. I love being outdoors whether I’m walking with my dog, hiking, skiing, or camping with friends and family. I also enjoy swimming, reading, baking sourdough, or trying out new recipes!

I am excited to join the Peterborough community and look forward to helping you live your best lives!

Wow!!! You guys really came through with donations for Central Smiths “ fill the truck” for local food banks!!

We seen a little bit of everything coming in, from dried goods, school snack, toiletries and even diapers!

With so much need for keeping the local food banks full, this will be such a welcomed donation this holiday season.

Thank you everyone!!! Our local food banks also thank you!

Just a reminder we will closed Dec 24th-Jan 5th
Regular hours resume Monday January 6th!

For the second year in a row, we are pleased to be a drop off spot for Central Smith’s:
“ Fill a Truck “ campaign.

There had never been more of need to keep our local food banks full, and that’s what we are striving to do!

Anyone who drops off food bank donations will be entered into a draw to win an amazing basket filled with goodies.

Donations are accepted until December 19th. Come in and support our local food banks and fill the truck!

Just over 20 years of being an RMT.

Wow!

So thankful for all of my patients over the years, who keep coming to put their care in my hands ( literally!)

I think I’ve seen and treated a lot over the years, learned lots of new information and have had the pleasure of treating and continuing to treat my amazing patients for many many years.
