Peterborough Yoga Festival

Peterborough Yoga Festival 🙏🏻 This will be an entirely charitable event with all proceeds donated to United Way and their associated local charities.

Peterborough Yoga festival is a community-oriented gathering in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada that is founded upon the vision that yoga, meditation, kirtan, wellness, community connection and fresh air can all amplify love and presence in our beings, in our families and communities and around the world. The annual festival, started on the 1st International Yoga Day, and each year we will stay true to this original intention, bringing conscious community together for a heart-opening, joyful celebration, from which ALL proceeds will be donated to our local United Way. We are committed to making this festival inclusive and accessible for all those attending, and we do so by offering support for any individuals with disabilities or limited mobility. Showcasing 25+ transformational classes and workshops by over 20 diverse teachers as well as offering meditations, kirtan music, kid's tent and classes, a healing garden, delicious whole-foods, a yogi market and more, together we will create an atmosphere that revives and rejuvenates, enriches and enlivens and reminds us how to live mindfully and vibrantly.

Vasant Panchami is a vibrant Hindu festival that celebrates the arrival of spring and honors Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, music, and the arts. It typically falls in January or February, marking a time of renewal and growth. The festival is characterized by the wearing of yellow clothing, symbolizing the blossoming mustard fields and the warmth of the season. People worship Saraswati, especially students and artists, by offering flowers and fruits to her idols and seeking her blessings for wisdom and creativity. It’s also a time for community gatherings, music, dance, and feasting, as the energy of the season is embraced with joy and celebration.
