After reading Fraser Wilson novel “Achievable,” the leadership team at Align launched our first—and now annual—Employee Engagement Survey.
We issued the survey to over 65 team members, across 10 sites and multiple roles and geographies, to understand exactly where we stood—before deciding where we wanted to go next.
First of all: we were thrilled by the engagement in our engagement survey. Over 98% of our employees responded, anonymously and voluntarily, identified only by location. That response rate alone told us people wanted to share their thoughts with us. Even better, many offered thoughtful, detailed comments (which were optional), giving us incredible insight into their experience at Align.
Of course, there’s always room for improvement. One key takeaway: as we've grown, like adding new rooms to a house, some clarity around reporting lines and our org chart has been lost. We hear you. This is already a top priority to fix. We also received insightful feedback and even some cautionary notes about growth potentially affecting our personal touch, concerns we share and are actively addressing.
But first, we want to highlight what made us smile because despite all the change, the rapid growth, and the everyday demands of home healthcare, we were deeply encouraged by our team’s responses to some of our most important questions:
These results matter. They show us that we’re on the right track—and that we’ve built something worth protecting, nurturing, and evolving. We are incredibly grateful for the trust our team places in us, and we’re committed to living up to that trust.
In our next post, we’ll share more about the areas where we can grow and how we’re already taking steps to do just that.
