Mike, a curling enthusiast and from Site Kawartha Centre has made time to become a very active member in the volunteer community. He has been involved in Curling for 25 years as a player and organizer including President of the Lakefield Curling Club and currently the Interclub Co-Ordinator for ten curling clubs in the Kawartha region, in addition to being an active recreational golfer, and Executive with the Lakefield United Church Sr. Men's Club.
With his community involvement, he spreads the word to his peers about research opportunities, especially if he is aware that a peer is having some memory issues.

Care
A community-based clinic, the centre is a warm and welcoming place, with a patient-focused philosophy. A multi-level approach brings expertise and resources together in a single safe and trusted space and empowers patients to be active participants in their own health. The Kawartha Centre is also involved in outreach with governments and other organizations to enhance community-based care.
