This is just a friendly reminder that our race shirt registration deadline is coming up at noon this Friday April 7th. Register for the Peterborough Butterfly Run before noon April 7th to make sure your Race Shirt will be available for you on race day.

You can still sign up after April 7th. We will make alternate arrangements in late May or early June for you to get your shirt.

Mask mandates have lifted in Ontario, except for healthcare settings including private clinics. We will still be wearing masks in the clinic, and require patients to continue wearing a mask too. The Ministry of Health will inform us as to when masks are no longer required and we will pass on the information to you. Thank you for your cooperation and patience!!

The Ontario government is backing down on a controversial plan to deregulate acupuncture and other forms of traditional Chinese medicine, saying it will opt for Chinese-language exams instead.

Attention Patients! This will affect you!

There's been a lot going on in the world lately and I'm hoping to catch your attention for a minute and ask for your help!

Acupuncture and Chinese medicine is under threat of being DEREGULATED in Ontario.

The Ontario government is attempting to pass a bill (Bill 88) that would deregulate Acupuncture and Chinese medicine, returning it to the public domain. This is terrible for patient safety and quality of care to say the least! There would be no oversight on training and standards required to practice Chinese Medicine in Ontario.

There was absolutely no consultation with stakeholders, no warning that this was coming and no explanation as to why it is being done. To the best of my knowledge, I don’t think a medical college has ever just been shut down in Ontario. This is not a precedent we want to set!

I have been a licenced member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncturist of Ontario (CTCMPAO) since it formed in 2013. 4 years of education, countless hours/days/months/years studying for exams and 13 years of practice are now in jeopardy.

The government seems to be moving fast on this and we need to take prompt action if we are going to succeed in stopping this bill from passing.

Good resource for those who need support coping with a loss.

Registration is open all across Canada for the next sessions of our virtual pregnancy and infant loss support group. Whether your loss is recent or your grief feels more powerful at this time, our Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Group can help offer a sense of connection, healing and hope.
Participants can expect an opportunity to share and connect with other bereaved parents who have experienced this type of loss and who are grieving. This group will run from April 27th - June 15th, 2021:

The clinic will remain open during the upcoming stricter provincial lockdown measures. Please follow public health measures to keep our community safe and our healthcare system functioning. Do not come to the clinic if you feel unwell, even if your symptoms are mild. Enhanced cleaning, screening and safety protocols will remain in place to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
