Hot weather can be harmful, especially for young children, older adults, and those with health conditions.

✅ Stay hydrated
✅ Take breaks in the shade or A/C
✅ Know the signs of heat re illness
✅ Call 911 in an emergency

🌡️ EXTENDED HEAT WARNING: July 26-28 Environment Canada is forecasting extreme heat this weekend for the County of Haliburton, City of Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland County, Peterborough County, The City of Peterborough.

⚠️ Take steps now to protect yourself and others:
✔️ Stay hydrated – drink water often
✔️ Use fans, AC, or cool showers
✔️ Check in on neighbours, family, and vulnerable individuals
✔️ NEVER leave people or pets in vehicles

🚨 Watch for signs of heat-related illness: Dizziness, nausea, headache, dark urine, rapid breathing, or confusion. Call 911 if someone is unconscious, confused, or stops sweating.
