When the Veil is Thin
At Samhain, the veil softens.
The air might feel charged, heavy with memory, tender with presence.
It is the season when the unseen draws close, and the whispers of our ancestors move through the cracks of our hearts.
This is not just a time of endings.
It is a time of remembering.
The emotions you feel may not be yours alone.
It may belong to the mothers who couldn’t cry, the fathers who swallowed their pain, the lineages that carried silence instead of song.
As the veil thins, those emotions rise.
They surface through your dreams, your tears, your longing for something you can’t quite name.
This is the collective heart processing what was never given space to be felt.
Breathe with it.
Light a candle.
Offer your ancestors your love, your tears, your presence.
Tell them, “It’s safe now. I will feel what you could not.”
Each exhale becomes a prayer.
Each tear, an offering.
Each heartbeat, a bridge between worlds.
This is the work of the living, it's our work now. To pause, to feel, to remember, to release.
To let emotion become wisdom and love become the thread that weaves the past into peace. It's time to let the joy in!
