We now have an online booking option for new patient intake assessments! Don’t worry if online booking isn’t your thing - our friendly receptionist Myra can still be reached by phone (705-761-4375) or through our website (accuped.ca).

Follow-up appointments and appointments for returning patients still need to be booked by phone or email.

However you book, we look forward to seeing you!

Accu Ped now has bike parking! We’ve converted our front display to a bike rack. If you are a winter bike enthusiast like Richard, you can now bring in your bike and lock it right inside the door.

We also have free vehicle parking in the parking lot outside. Just look for the Accu Ped reserved signs.

If walking long distances is a challenge, clients can also be dropped off directly outside the clinic door. Just call us for directions.

No matter your means of transportation, we aim to be accessible for you!

If your orthotics are getting smelly, you can pull them out to air out overnight, or wipe them with a damp cloth or a bit of rubbing alcohol. Just don’t put them in a washing machine or dishwasher as the heat and detergent can damage them.

Fun fact: you can get orthotics wet! The cover may come off with time though, so let your pedorthist know if you will be using them in the water on a regular basis.

With a bit of care, your orthotics will stay in good condition for years to come!

Are your orthotics feeling worn out?

Usually orthotics last 3-5 years, but it depends on use. If your foot has changed due to growth spurts, pregnancy, illness, injury, age, or if you’re having pain, book an appointment. Simon or Richard can examine your orthotics for wear patterns and can adjust them or recommend new ones.

An update on the shoe modification we posted last week. Here you can see the finished product! Richard widened the shoe sole and added the side reinforcement, called a buttress.
