Half Marathon completed 🏃‍♀️21km in 2hrs12min🏃‍♀️. Within my goal 👍.
$5300+ raised for Pediatric Group of Ontario-POGO. I ran most of my race today with my nephew, a cancer survivor himself as a toddler (he ran the full marathon). It truly was an honour to share this day and experience with him.
A sincere thank you to all who supported my run today. It means so much to me, Team Jackie, and the POGO families that will benefit from your generosity. ♥️♥️

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Help the Pediatric Oncology Group of Ontario (POGO) support families fighting this disease with their children by donating to my Half Marathon Team Jackie. Thank you in advance on behalf of our team, POGO, and their families. ♥️

On October 20th, 2024 I and 6 of my family members (5 kids, 2 adults) will be running a Half Marathon (Toronto Waterfront Marathon). In April of 2023, our extended family lost a beautiful girl named Jackie at the tender age of 17 to Brain Cancer. It is always extremely hard when we lose a loved one to Cancer, but it is even more heartbreaking when Cancer takes the vibrant life of someone so prematurely. Jackie was a lover of sport, and music and she truly had a heart of gold. As a family, we decided to run this race in Jackie's honour and raise money for a childhood cancer organization in Ontario (POGO) to support other families who are forced to fight the fight with their children as well. Life is filled with challenges. Some challenges are more than we should be forced to handle. Jackie lost her battle with brain cancer at the tender age of 17 in 2023. She lived life to the fullest, and touched many lives. Now it is our turn to face a challenge head on (in her honor) and help others....
