NOTICE: Stay safe during extreme heat
☀️Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for the County of Prince Edward, which is expected to continue through the night of Tuesday, June 24.
☀️Maximum temperatures are expected to reach between 30 C to 36 C with humidex values of 40 – 45. Minimum temperatures are forecast between 21 C to 25 C.
☀️If you are looking to get out of the sun or fill up your water bottle, the arenas in Wellington (111 Belleville Street) and Picton (375 Picton Main Street) are open between 7 am and 3 pm.
☀️For those who may not have air conditioning and are looking for a place to cool off and get out of the sun, you can visit:

📍The splash pad located at the Picton Fairgrounds (375 Picton Main Street)
📍Wellington Rotary Beach (1 Beach Street, Wellington)
📍The shaded areas in the County’s public parks
