The Val MacDonald Memorial Golf Tournament ⛳

Val MacDonald’s legacy at Hospice lives on through one of our most cherished events, the annual golf tournament she created and led with passion and heart. In her honour, we proudly host the 7th Annual Val MacDonald Memorial Golf for Hospice Tournament on Friday, September 19th at Picton Golf Club.
This tournament continues to be a vital fundraiser for Hospice Prince Edward — and a beautiful way to remember Val’s remarkable contributions.

A beautiful Charcuterie Board from Agrarian Market in Picton made its way to coffee time at the church today! 🧀🥖🍇

Lake-on-the-Mountain’s own Annette delivered the delicious assortment of meats, cheeses, fruits, jams, and spreads to the Cressy Glenora Strivers our top fundraisers for the 2025 Hike For Hospice. 💛

🍋 Amelia’s Lemonade Stand, Happening Today! 🍋
Amelia is out at Hudson’s Diagnostics (formerly Paul’s Mechanical) starting at 8am for her 5th annual lemonade stand in memory of her Bupa.

All proceeds go to Hospice Prince Edward, and Amelia has already raised over $11,000 since 2021! 💛

Rain or shine, swing by for a refreshing lemonade and support compassionate care in our community.

Position: Registered Practical Nurse / Registered Nurse
Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $32.96 (RPN) / $40.96 (RN)

Overview:
Hospice Prince Edward is seeking a compassionate RPN or RN to provide individualized end-of-life care. Working closely with residents, families, and the care team, the nurse will focus on quality of life, symptom management, and emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:

Use evidence-based practice for assessment, planning, and care delivery, especially in pain and symptom management

Respond effectively to end-of-life emergencies and psychosocial needs

Involve patients and families in care decisions

Handle tasks like admissions, discharges, and phone calls

Support lifting, turning, and repositioning residents

Share all care, housekeeping, and clinical tasks with on-shift PSWs

Work in a physically demanding environment

Qualifications:

Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience

Experience in hospice/palliative care preferred

CAPCE or LEAP certification an asset
