Overview:
Hospice Prince Edward is seeking a compassionate RPN or RN to provide individualized end-of-life care. Working closely with residents, families, and the care team, the nurse will focus on quality of life, symptom management, and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:
Use evidence-based practice for assessment, planning, and care delivery, especially in pain and symptom management
Respond effectively to end-of-life emergencies and psychosocial needs
Involve patients and families in care decisions
Handle tasks like admissions, discharges, and phone calls
Support lifting, turning, and repositioning residents
Share all care, housekeeping, and clinical tasks with on-shift PSWs
Work in a physically demanding environment
Qualifications:
Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience
Experience in hospice/palliative care preferred
CAPCE or LEAP certification an asset

Position: Fundraising & Engagement Coordinator
Hospice Prince Edward, Picton, Ontario: Picton, Prince Edward.
Part time - 6 month contract
Rate of pay: $29.70/hour
OVERVIEW: As a Fundraising & Engagement Coordinator, this position plays a key role in bringing Hospice, fundraising, and donor engagement initiatives to life. From coordinating integrated campaigns to delivering digital and print content, the coordinator will gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment. Further, this role is to seek opportunities to ‘market’ hospice programs & services, recruit event volunteers and work to enhance relationships with current Monthly Donors.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
1-3 years of experience in communications, marketing, public relations, fundraising, or a related field.
A creative storyteller with strong writing, editing, and content creation skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
A team player who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Proven communication skills in both written and verbal formats.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapting to changing needs and priorities.
Advanced computer skills in Google, Microsoft and general applications

At Hospice Prince Edward, our 3 bed residential hospice in Prince Edward County, we provide high quality, compassionate care and support to patients and their families as they deal with a life limiting illness. Since opening our doors in 2013 we have served 196 clients in our residence and 529 more through our outreach programs.
Our mission is to provide Qualify of Life, Dignity in Death and Grief and Bereavement Support for all those living with or affected by a life limiting illness. We support the journey of living with dying. All of our programs and services are provided at no cost to clients, their families or caregivers. Here is what people have to say about their experience:
