Scoring day is one week away! Here are a few things to remember...
- members and non-members are welcomed and encouraged to bring their trophies in to get scored. You must be a member of our club to be entered in for our awards, but any non-members are still added to the photo-album, and can be entered into the Alberta Awards.
- all skulls must be presentable the day of (skulls with flesh, rot, maggots, etc will be denied)
- no self-scored or pre-scored skulls will be accepted
- deadheads are permitted to be scored. If the deadhead is from this season and is big enough for the Alberta Record books, bring it down. Alberta recognizes and honors the animal, not the hunter. Therefore deadheads are able to be entered into the Alberta Awards!
- we strongly encourage anyone who has records for either fish or birds to enter them and make them a bigger category and competition again in the club
- bring in your developed 4x6 pictures to enter into the photo contest. (Must be a PBFG member to enter) The categories are
- scenery
- activity
- trophy (field photo- as clean as possible)
- wildlife
- we would appreciate as many field photos to be entered in again so we can add them to this years photo album. Any entry will be used for both the contest and the album!
- our club strongly encourages and promotes youth involvement and interaction with the outdoors. Any successful youth hunter (under 16), bring along a picture of your harvest with a short written story, and it will be announced as honorable mentions at the dinner as well as added to the photo album. (This is not just for the trophy category, stories of antlered and antlerless alike, birds, or fish, just a successful hunt)
- any further questions contact Shaun at (403)-715-5701 or Travis at (403)-715-4508
