Bio-Agtive Emissions Farming

Bio-Agtive Emissions Farming Any crop, any soil, any farm, any farm equipment but not just any ROI when you eliminate fertilizer. Forever. Canada (403) 628-2106 FOOD SECURITY .

Bio-Agtive™ Emissions Technology (BAET) was first developed by Mr. Gary Lewis, the innovator and owner of N/C Quest Inc in Alberta, Canada. The first development of the Bio-Agtive™ Emissions Technology started in the early 2000 by studying and applying the science of plant physiology on his farm near Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada (Olin Creek). The Bio-Agtive™ Technology is the application of many different studies of plant physiology, soil chemistry and most recently nano-carbon by only using internal combustion engines. These studies back up the theory of using internal combustion engines for mineral nutrition, biological stimulation, seed treatments, foliar nutritional and fungal applications, nano-carbon tube production, organic matter and additives for composting. With further experimentation in 2001, Bio-Agtive™ developed its Irrigation Method and patent. After many more years of work done on evolving from the Irrigation, a second patent developed by 2005 was experimented on a JD8970 during spring seeding with oats and barley (below). The process showed positive results and soon the company N/C Quest Inc was formed to collaborate with like minded individuals all over the world to help agriculture increase:

FARM ECONOMICS . EMISSION REDUCTION AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION . RESPONSIBLE FARMING PRACTICES

In 2008, N/C Quest Pty Ltd was formed in Australia to help support and collaborate with the early adopters in NSW, SA and WA. Many technological problems and issues became apparent with Australian collaborators that where not present with Canadian collaborators. Improvements on systems and applications by early 2012 where done with the new BA 8010 Series. There are roughly 30 Australia wide collaborators in the 2017 season using and developing BAET together with an increase of consistent users adopting the technology each year who are taking the technology usage beyond the paddock. Two weeks ago, we invited local farmers and ranchers in the Southern Alberta area to celebrate the first ever dryland Bio-Agtive corn crop in this area (plant population +/- 19,000 and with 3 varieties of seed, right on highway 6). This land is now 25 years fertilizer-free. It doesn't end there; this land will also now aggregate along with all the other emissions method farms into a first-ever carbon project to procure a payment for stored carbon, reduced methane and nitrous oxide, as well as improved biodiversity.

Among those who came, we walked the fields, and enjoyed a corn shuck lunch with these industry collaborators who shared:
- great ag insights from the local Pincher Creek COOP
- a hands-on presentation from the Razor Grazer team
- a fantastic overview from NorthStar seeds on corn varieties for silage, harvest and point capture grazing

The takeaway was simple. You don’t have to buy nitrogen for corn. With a vigorous soil microbiome, Bio-Agtive proves you can fix more than sufficient nitrogen naturally to grow heavy, nutrient-dense crops that enable faster finishing of healthier animals. We hear it more and more across the growing Bio-Agtive farming cohort from those who raise animals.

Any crop. Any soil. Any farm. Any farmer. That's the claim and we stand by it.

A huge thanks to everyone who joined us! We'll continue to share once the cows hit these fields for the point capture event over Fall - Winter.

Field Day Alert! Thursday August 28 near Pincher Creek starting at 11 AM

What: Regenerative Corn Demo for Regenerative Grazing.
This is your chance to see a dryland corn crop grown using the Bio Agtive emissions farming method with absolutely no synthetic fertilizer and up to 60 percent less herbicides. The emissions approach rapidly improves soil health, boosts animal well being, and helps farmers take back the farm gate for immediate and significant seasonal returns. Co-sponsors of the event: Pincher Creek COOP with expert guests from NorthStar, DLF, Range Ward (Razer Grazer) and StrainRite.

When you leave the mechanical harvesting equipment in the barn to the benefit of regenerative grazing, the animals better eat the crop down for you, or what a clean-up you’ll have on your hands come the next Spring season! Conventionally grown corn is unlikely to be grazed to this level especially through the winter. But with Bio-Agtive, even the corn stalks test as high as 30 Brix – the cattle are very nutritionally satisfied and are combing these fields for more. The next spring after our first experiment with this grazing style, we planted directly into the corn residues with another corn crop and there was no tilling required. Cutting out synthetic fertilizer and the emissions method unleash photosynthetic performance and the biodegradation of your crop residue like never before.

Join us to learn how to convert your farm for efficiency, resilience, and legacy in these unpredictable times!

Feed is the next step for emissions farmers to take farm efficiency and prosperity to the next level. Growing feed for animals with the Bio-Agtive method is a tremendous step forward in animal health and well-being. Our early stage trials all point to better outcomes in terms of less vet bills, less mortality, less aggression all the while these animals make quick gains for desirable market metrics. As farmers we need to consider to what exent the whole farm value chain is our's to materialize in order to re-establish farm prosperity to our advantage. In this video, these are the animals that grazed down our corn fields from the end of October 2024. We will do the same again this year, on irrigation and dryland fields. Join us at our Pincher Creek, Alberta corn shuck event this Thursday, details in the comments.

Dryland corn in Southern Alberta with no fertilizer - come and see it for yourself! Plus we reduce herbicides up to 60% on any crop farmed with the Bio-Agtive Emissions Method. If you or a farmer you know is interested in meaningful cost cutting, preserving yield, improving soil and animal health, then please share this post and join us at our collaborative Field Day this Thursday, August 28, at 11AM for a crop tour and shuck some sweet corn for lunch. The plan for this fied is regenerative grazing by local ranchers... we will be leaving the mechanical harvest equipment in the barn this season, and no silage-making either. Cattle will graze this crop standing and well into the winter. See you there, location in the comments!

If you're going to leave the mechanical harvesting methods in the barn and regeneratively graze cattle into your crops, you better make sure that the animals you put on the landscape actually want to eat your crop! Chances are if you grow it conventionally, you won't get them to eat it down to this extent and all through the winter. These animals are healthy and very safisfied by the Bio-Agtive method, even eating the stalks down that measure up to 30 Brix! The emissions farming method also eliminates fertilizer and cuts herbicides by up to 60%, let alone what these incredible C4 tropical plants can do for your soil and overall animal health. Join us in Southern Alberta for a field tour of a dryland corn crop and corn shuck lunch in collaboration with the regenerative corn seed reps from DLF, NorthStar Genetics and the Pincher Creek COOP. August 28th, the ag tour begins at 11AM. Directions in the comments.

A Tale of Two Roots: 🌱 Bio-Agtive™ Innovation vs. Traditional Fertilizers 💧

Swipe through to see the differences! 📲

Root comparison - Bio-Agtive™ on the left, traditional fertilizer on the right. There's a clear difference in structure and development between the two root systems. 🌿🔍

Canola field comparison - Bio-Agtive™ on the left, synthetic fertilizer on the right. From above, you might not see a dramatic difference. However, the real benefits are evident below the surface, where the enhanced root systems are at work. 🌾👇

Bio-Agtive™ treated crops consistently meet or beat the yield performance of fertilized crops. This challenges the common misconception that alternative methods might offer some benefits but fall short on yields. 🌟📈

Close-up of impressive 2-foot deep nodules on dryland lentil roots with Bio-Agtive™. The lentil plants look like a lush carpet, with long-lasting flowers 🌸 and moisture in the soil ensuring the pods form and fill. 🌱💧

A local farmer shared: "I was skeptical at first. But seeing these roots side by side... it's hard to argue with results like that." 🚜👨‍🌾

Key Advantages of Bio-Agtive™:
✔︎Enhanced root structure = better nutrient uptake 🌿💪
✔︎ Enhanced nodule formation in legumes = improved nitrogen fixation 🌱🔬
✔︎ Stronger plants with less reliance on synthetic inputs 🌻🚫
✔︎ Larger root systems act as effective carbon sinks 🌍🌱

The roots illustrate why managing from a plant physiology perspective is so powerful. You can see why those big root systems are so effective at sequestering carbon. 🌱🔄

While rain may be a limiting factor, the amplified organic compounds from significantly larger root systems contribute to a microbially prolific environment and moist soil within the soil biome. 🌏💧

We understand the challenges you face.

Bio-Agtive™ technology offers a way to potentially increase your farm's resilience while reducing input costs. 💡💰

It's about adapting smart practices that work with nature, not against it. 🌿🤝

Our clients at Jespersen Farms made the switch to the Bio-Agtive™ method of emissions farming and the results are astounding!

By eliminating the need for synthetic fertilizers, they’ve experienced significant cost savings.

These savings have been reinvested into the farm, allowing for the construction of a brand-new barn. 🏡

This new barn isn't just any barn—it’s equipped with two 6,500-gallon reverse osmosis (RO) water tanks housed in an insulated room.

The RO water is used in emissions processing and for making on-farm biostimulants.

Additionally, RO water is a better carrier than well water, which helps reduce herbicide use.

This reduction in herbicide costs largely offsets the investment in the RO water system.

Join us in embracing sustainable farming practices that benefit your wallet.
