Exciting news, I am attending a weekend seminar on the Masterson Method Light to the Core. I usually incorporate different techniques into my massage sessions depending on what the horse needs. This particular method also allows the therapist to find areas of discomfort on the horse and do light touch to help release these areas of tension. As prey animals horse will naturally brace themselves against discomfort so that they do not appear injured to their hunter. By allowing the horse to focus on the area of discomfort with light touch and they are able to release the bracing tension, which then allows the therapist to start massaging the muscles.

Trigger Stacking. What is it...well it might help understand why horses seem to be ok with certain events happening and then all of sudden they loose it. I found this great video from Warwick Schiller explaining Tigger Stacking. It reinforces that we need to try our best to beware of what our equine partners are trying to tell us, before they explode.
