Join us for Run Strong, a course designed specifically for runners looking to enhance their performance and resilience through targeted strength training. Over four sessions, you will learn the essential components that contribute to a well-rounded running regimen, led by experienced strength coach Steve Di Tomaso.
Day 1 focuses on Core and Mobility for Running, emphasizing the importance of a strong core in optimizing energy transfer and maintaining proper alignment to reduce injury risk. Through targeted exercises and mobility drills, you will improve your range of motion, enhance running efficiency, and promote better recovery.
On Day 2, we delve into the unique challenges of Downhill Running. This session will train your eccentric muscle strength, allowing you to control your speed and form on descents while minimizing the risk of common injuries. You’ll learn how to improve your running economy, enabling you to descend faster with less effort.
Day 3 is dedicated to Uphill Running, where you will develop muscular strength in key areas like the glutes, hamstrings and calves. This training will enhance your power and endurance, allowing you to tackle steep inclines with confidence and improved mental resilience.
Finally, on Day 4, we will cover Injury Prevention strategies that address muscle imbalances and enhance stability and mobility. By reinforcing proper movement patterns and biomechanics, you will become a more durable and capable runner, ready to take on any training challenge.
