✨ Pregnancy Model Call – RMT Training Course ✨

We’re looking for 12-14 pregnant folk to participate as models or “practice bodies” in an upcoming Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) continuing education course taking place Saturday March 28th + Sunday March 29th in Surrey (Cloverdale), BC

This course is designed for RMTs and other manual therapists to learn and practice safe, effective techniques for working with pregnant clients. As a model or “practice body”, you’ll receive a free 60-minute guided, professional massage under the supervision of an experienced instructor

📌 Requirements:

• Must be 14+ weeks pregnant by March 28 OR already showing a visible bump
• Must be comfortable being on the massage table in a group classroom setting
• Available in the mid-late afternoon either Saturday March 28 or Sunday March 29, or both days

I didn’t set out to become a prenatal educator.

I just kept following the feeling that pregnant and postpartum clients deserve more.

I’ve shared this course three times with 19 RMT’s now.

Twice I ran the course with maximum 6 participants, after Dr. Nareeta Stephenson asked me to teach the RMT’s on her team about pregnancy massage at the Tri-Cities famous clinic in Port Coquitlam

I wrote the course pregnant with my second child, in second trimester, fully in flow. The information poured onto the page

I taught it for the first time, my first time teaching to my own colleagues, at 29 weeks pregnant

The second time I taught it I was 6 months postpartum.
The third time I had just celebrated my baby’s first birthday.

If you’ve read this far, hopefully you’re seeing my point: I am very passionate about prenatal care, and the information on how to provide it, that I’ve compiled from the heart during this transformational season in my life.

I had a tough first end of pregnancy and birth due to how I felt (un)supported and recovered from the trauma of that, coming out of the whole experience motivated to share with others how pregnant people can be made to feel deeply cared for—within the context of our scope as RMT’s

It’s through experience and knowledge that we grow.

So come learn with me. I’m so excited to share what I know so that you can flourish and grow.

Taking quality care of more pregnant people is my goal!
