Dim, indoor lighting makes you brain damaged.
And it definitely shows with the mass delusions I've seen posted on Facebook lately.
The brightness of indoor artificial lighting during the day registers on average around 700 lux at the high end. Outside it registers around 3000 lux in the shade and 100,000+ lux in direct sunlight.
This is a huge difference in brightness.
Your body was built to function best in BRIGHT light during the day. The vast majority of you are violating that law and getting way too much dim indoor light during the day.
As the paper below implies, the dull daytime dim of typical indoor lighting depresses your brain and your mental functions while brighter light gives you superman like brain power.
So please, people of Facebook, I beg you, make your days bright again.
Get outside.
If you must be inside make sure you have a bright enough light with a good spectrum near you.
