Dont forget to put out some water tonight to collect your Harvest Moon Supermoon Water!!!

Clear glass jars if you have, with a lid!

Set it under the moonlight tonight!! Drink some tomorrow or use it in different ways listed below! Put a few out so you can use in the coming weeks as needed.

Aparigraha — the practice of non-attachment.

Of all the 8 limbs of yoga, this one has always been the hardest for me.

I’ve struggled with it deeply throughout my yoga journey — especially after losing both my mom and dad. And even as I venture through the journey of Motherhood - wanting him to stay little but also loving watch him grow.

Grief is the greatest teacher of how tightly we cling. To people, to time, to memories, to the way things used to be. And when they're gone, we’re left face to face with our attachments… and the suffering they create.

Aparigraha doesn’t mean we don’t love or care — it asks us not to grasp.

Not to try to hold what is always changing.

Life moves, breath moves, love moves… and our work is to soften our grip.

To let go without losing the heart.

Some days I can feel that freedom.

Other days, I’m still holding on.

But I keep returning to the practice — again and again — because I know that healing lives there.

In the releasing.

In the remembering.

In the letting go.

If you're walking through loss, or learning how to loosen your grip in any area of life — know you’re not alone.

And lets keep practicing so we ebb n flow through the tides of this beautiful but sometimes heartbreaking journey we call life!!

Teaching a “Balance” yoga practice to your students as a yoga teacher is NOT EASY.

I can almost feel the energy shift as I state “today we are working on balance.”

I know it’s hard for most.

I know and FEEL…the frustration that comes out when you cant stand still and fall out.

I get it.

Ive been there.

I was that yogi that struggled too. With the mind chatter. With the insecurity and the annoyance when I fell.

But one day I finally stopped caring if I fell.

YOU FALL.
SO WHAT!!!!??

Seriously SO what!???

Get BACK UP.

Its a lesson for your LIFE.

Once you get that…once you understand that everything we do here on the mat is so that you LIVE better, everything comes.

If I fall in my balance pose on the mat and get frustrated and angry? Well what does that tell me about how I act in life? When things fall. Crumble. Dont go MY WAY. Do I lose it? Do I get angry and give up??
NO.

Ok maybe a little angry (its a PRACTICE remember) but I wont stay there. I remember that life is up and down. Rise and fall. Fall down, get back up.

And teaching this lesson is NOT easy.

But today?

Today these beautiful souls who have been with me for a good while now and have heard me say over and over again “let this balance pose teach you how you respond when it doesn’t go YOUR WAY.” “How you react when you fall out of the pose shows you how much you’re trying to CONTROL. Instead…its all about letting go.

Today these students entered with GRACE. No frustration. No deep sighs, no furrowed brows. They tried. They did. They PRACTICED.

Balance teaches us SO many things about ourselves. You just have to be quiet enough to LISTEN.

And remember its called a yoga PRACTICE for reason. We show up, we practice and we do what we can each and every day. And every day is different and thats OK.

Let it all go and flow ✌️
