We’re excited to welcome a powerful youth voice to this year’s St. Clair Child & Youth Services Annual General Meeting.

Bella McGill (she/her), Youth Engagement Specialist with the Integrated Youth Services Data Platform at CAMH, will be joining us as our guest speaker. Bella’s advocacy journey began right here in Sarnia at just 17, through Spoken Hope and the YWHO Sarnia-Lambton Youth Advisory Council. Since then, she has been a passionate leader in shaping more youth-centered, integrated mental health services—working alongside community partners, including our own team at St. Clair.

Grounded in lived experience, Bella brings an inspiring perspective on reducing stigma, elevating youth leadership, and advancing the principle of “nothing about us without us.” Today, she continues to amplify youth voices across Canada and influence meaningful change in the mental health system.

Join us as we celebrate the past year and look ahead—together—with insight from one of our emerging leaders in youth mental health advocacy.

Connection doesn’t just happen. It’s built.

Community-based mental health services create spaces where young people feel seen,
supported, and understood.

Here’s the disconnect:

Young people are experiencing higher levels of anxiety and depression yet report fewer
positive social relationships than older age groups.

We can’t ignore the role connection plays.
