PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ OUR DIRECT BILLING COURTESY NOTICE
At Vantage Physiotherapy Clinic, we are proud to offer direct billing for many insurance providers as a courtesy to our clients. However, we would like to remind everyone that direct billing is not a guarantee of payment, and certain responsibilities remain with the policy holder.
Please keep the following in mind:
• Clients are responsible for understanding their own insurance coverage, including treatment eligibility, coverage limits, changes in numbers or plans, and remaining balances.
• Insurance providers determine your benefits and payment, not our clinic.
• Any portion not covered by your insurance must be paid at the time of your appointment. If you are unsure of your coverage, we recommend contacting your insurance provider beforehand, or coming to the appointment prepared.
• Our administrative team cannot access detailed information about your remaining benefits or coverage amounts. Please check with your insurer directly or through their website/app.
• Occasionally insurance portals may be unavailable due to maintenance or technical issues. If this occurs, payment for the appointment will be required and you may submit the receipt to your insurer manually.
• While our staff are happy to assist with submitting claims, we cannot alter or override decisions made by insurance companies. Receipts and claim explanations can be provided if needed.
• Not all services offered in our clinic are eligible for direct billing, though some may still be submitted manually depending on your plan.
• If you have multiple insurance plans, some insurers require specific coordination of benefits and we are unable to direct bill the secondary plan(s)
• Additional documentation, such as a doctor's note, may be requested during claim submission, which may affect our ability to process the claim directly.
Lastly, and most importantly, we ask that all interactions with our team remain respectful. Everyone within our clinic, but especially our administrative staff, works hard to assist every client, and disrespectful or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.
