✨Trade Opportunity!

Last night I dreamt of soo many people connecting with me about plants. I was interviewed for my outstanding program (the interviewers words!), someone approached me in the grocery store to talk about the sustainability of wild crafted echinacea, and (my favorite) our simple little class was interrupted by a huge troupe of singers and dancers and performers that circled my whole yard with total joy!!🌿

I took this as a sign that SO MANY people are searching for this healing art in their lives!

I am kind of terrible at promoting things. Thankfully, I have the amazing Tanja Rohn to help me (ahem, do a lot of it FOR me) but I would totally prefer to stay kind of witch in the forest- like, and have people magically find me! :) But I try…. I took a video for instagram today! Usually Tanja has my back with cool sophisticated equipment- today I stuck a shovel in the earth and attached my phone to it. Anyone walking by would have seen me in deep and honest conversation with my garden shovel!

So sometimes I don’t promote well, or involve shovels in the process. But I genuinely know that herbalism brings SO much richness into people’s lives. I know how people long for the type of community that I get to be a part of, both plant community and plant-people community.

And I want it to be accessible. Every year, a few spots are filled with people who offer trade as part payment for the Soul of Herbalism program. This is a win win, as I get help in the garden and they gain experience with tending plant friends.

We just began a new offering of Soul of Herbalism called ‘Spirit Drop’ (Year 3) on Monday. It was so beautiful to sink right into community and drop right into our herb explorations.

I asked for feedback for this new offering and here is what some of my dear students wrote!

Truly, this work is a sustaining force in my life. A co created, magical, synchronistic celebration of life each class, each group, each week.

I’m so grateful for this practice and these people in my life.

It is literally my favourite thing in the world to sit in circle with others who are called to this path.

Watching students discover and develop their innate skills and inner knowing about plants is so powerful.
