March is Epilepsy Awareness Month 💜 Epilepsy is a neurological condition that affects people in many different ways. This month is about spreading awareness, promoting seizure safety, and supporting those impacted.
Today, March 26th, is *Purple Day, the international day for epilepsy awareness.
Please join us today in showing love and support for all the wonderful and brave children and teenagers we meet at HOPE who are living with epilepsy. Every day, these young people face challenges most others never see, including endless hospital visits, side effects from medications, therapies, uncertainty, and seizures that can arrive without warning. Yet they show incredible strength.
A heartfelt thank you to those of you who are fundraising for us today so we can continue providing practical support for these young people and their families. We are extremely grateful to you for your kindness.
*Purple Day was created in 2008 by a 9 year old Canadian girl, Cassidy Megan, who was struggling with epilepsy and wanted to raise awareness of the condition. What started as one child’s idea has now become a global initiative, with people around the world wearing purple and raising awareness.
