Hi everyone!😄

The Port Alberni Association for Community Living (PAACL) and partners; Inside Out Care (IOCC) and Taproots, are participating in FASD awareness month this September and presenting several free events! This year’s theme is ‘We all play a part’ and centers around the community at large.

We are very excited in particular, to present Myles Himmelreich who is giving a special presentation called ‘FASD Success’ on Sept 8 from 12-5pm. Myles is an FASD advocate and motivational speaker and draws from his personal experience of living with FASD to inspire and educate others.
This presentation as well as the pizza party for youth/children and families or caregivers are by registration only.

On August 15th we are presenting an informative workshop about how anxiety shows up in children and strategies to help support them.

This workshop is for caregivers, professionals and anyone who would benefit from understanding anxiety in children and strategies to help them cope. The information in this workshop is about children up to 12 years old.

We're reaching out to our generous community for silent auction donations! Your support will directly help children and families in our region access the pediatric therapy services they need to thrive!

This Saturday was the 3rd annual Pediatric Stroke Walk. It was so powerful to see the community come together to support an important cause and working together to work towards inclusion. When everyone is included, everyone wins ! 🩵

Proud to be a part of moments like these, where humans move with kindness and compassion, and show up for each other so that we never feel alone.
