Honoring Our Rhythm

Women are rhythmic by nature.
Some days we shine outward, full of energy and movement.
Other days we grow quiet, needing rest, reflection, or stillness.
Both are sacred. Both are necessary.❤️

This season, I honor myself for the moments I’ve been quieter than usual, even when that felt unfamiliar.
I also honor every woman who feels she must always perform, always show up strong, always keep pace. You don’t.

January and February are months to regroup, to soften, to listen inward.
You don’t need to compete. You don’t need to force a routine to prove your worth.
Even as I lead and hold space for others, I remind myself, and you, that doing your best looks different in every season.

If today your best is rest, presence, or simply being… that is enough.
You are allowed to be human. You are allowed to be you.❤️

On the stroke of midnight tonight, you can resolve to be better, if you like…
to be fitter,
to eat cleaner,
to work harder.

On the stroke of midnight tonight,
you can resolve to become a whole new you,
if you so choose.

Or, you can take a moment to acknowledge, all you already are.
Because it’s a lot.
You’re a lot.

And you deserve to be commended.

On the stroke of midnight tonight, perhaps you could congratulate yourself, for coping.
For breaking, again,
and for rebuilding, again.

For catching the stones life has thrown at you,
and using them to build your castle that little bit stronger.

You have endured, my friend.

And I don’t see the need to resolve to become a whole new you,
when you are already so very much indeed.

Happy new year.

You made it.

Now let us face another 365 day-turn, arms wide,
accepting, embracing and ‘seeing’ each other,
for all we are..

6:00 AM and worth every second. 💪✨

This morning’s workout with my dedicated crew reminded me why fitness has been such a powerful part of my life. I didn’t know it when I first started, but moving my body became my lifeline when I immigrated to Canada at a young age—when I left everything familiar to build a new life from the ground up.

Fitness carried me through some of my hardest chapters. And even on the mornings when waking up at 6:00 am feels tough, I show up—not just for myself, but for the incredible people who trust me to lead them.

The discipline, the sweat, the shared energy… it all fills me with optimism and fuels my creativity for the rest of the day. I walk into work feeling stronger, inspired, and ready to create beautiful food from the heart.

If you’re struggling to start, remember this: sometimes the things we begin without knowing “why” end up becoming the things that save us. Keep showing up. Your future self will thank you. ❤️💫

Grateful to sqeeze two strength & conditioning clasees this week! 🙏💪🏼

When we are looking to become healthier and feel better, is not going to be one thing!
First and foremost, getting on a training plan that prioritizes the building of muscles: Hypertrophy & Strength building is going to be very important.

Every passing decade we loose up to 8-10% of muscle mass as we pass the age of 50. The good news is we can do something about it to slow it down by engaging in strength and weight training to build muscle.💪🏼

The brain 🧠 also ages. Therefore having chanllenges to our balance, maintaining muscle recruitment as our neurons start to fire at a slower pace.

We must keep training these parts of our being to keep our reactivity skills, stability/balance, moblity, flexibility drills ongoing.

My classes are held on Thursdays at 6:30 am, and Saturdays at 9:30 am.
