Irene

My name's Irene and I'm an intuitive, a medium, and a healer. I offer Psychic Mediumship, Intuitive Tarot, Mentorship and Soulful Coaching sessions, via phone/Facetime/zoom. My services arise from a background including
- BA in Child and Youth Care,
- Jin Shin Do® BodyMind Acupressurist
- Reiki Master/Teacher
- Certified Yoga Teacher specializing in Yin Yoga.
- Meditation and embodiment practices to ground and center me and my services.
- Trauma informed
- And of course, a connection with my spiritual self and the spirit world

As an intuitive I see and feel the energy of people and places, and I use this sensitively to help others. As a medium I communicate with spirit and receive messages and guidance from loved ones who've crossed over, as well as from angels and guides. I also love to use the Tarot as a tool to connect more deeply with subtle energy of our lives, patterns, with our soul, and with the path that is for our highest and best - all on the energy of love, hope, and inspiration. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Or to book a session with me:

Yin Yoga is a practice that emphasizes long-held passive stretches that target the deeper connective tissues, including fascia, ligaments and and is of increasing value to practice as we age. By emphasizing long held passive stretches, yin yoga will help to stretch and lengthen these tissues while having a meditative quality. Yin yoga is based on Taoist understanding of Qi (or energy) and through these poses we are opening up blockages and releasing energy to flow freely. All poses are done in positions on the floor, and blocks and bolsters are liberally used and encouraged.

This morning while driving and thinking of a sweet soul who had recently crossed over, the song Lean On Me came on the radio.
I felt such a presence and felt that it was a message from Spirit - acknowledging how the community has come together and united to help and support each other and the sweet family.

Here are the beautiful lyrics to the song.

Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow

Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you won't let show
You just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'll understand
We all need somebody to lean on
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on

You just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'll understand
We all need somebody to lean on
If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me (call me)
If you need a friend (call me) call me uh huh (call me) if you need a friend (call me)
If you ever need a friend (call me)

Update: I was going to order a few to have to offer in classes, but apparently this one is unavailable right now. Below in comments is another option.

I’ve noticed that shop on line Walmart has yoga bolsters on safe for $19.29
I can’t verify on their quality as I haven’t seen it myself, but it seems like a good price if you’re looking for a deal.
I’m working on the newsletter about my upcoming yin yoga and mindfulness retreat (Oct 19). If you don’t have a bolster for it this might be a good option. And I find that having my own bolster for home practice and lower back release is very helpful.

(I just noticed that it does have a $9 delivery fee)

I read this to my Yin Yoga class this morning and afterwards someone came to me, with tears in her eyes, acknowledging just how hard this hit her. How she hasn’t felt like she’s been allowed to rest. And of the toll that it has taken.

You’re not alone sister.

THIS is why I do the work that I do.

It’s for my clients, yes.

For my own family and friends, yes.

But at the core of it all, I do it for me. Because I need to remember this, over and over. That it’s ok to rest. To not always be on and available. To recalibrate and lean into our soul’s wisdom and magick.

Patriarchy and capitalism won’t validate your need for rest.

We have to claim it, and know that it’s a birthright.

If this sounds a bit dramatic to you, I guarantee that you know people who will resonate with this deeply. 100%

“Rest will never feel urgent to those who don’t understand the violence of exhaustion.
In a world that uses the body as currency, rest is a sacred defiance. A reminder that we will not be owned.”
Cole Arthur Riley

Affirm: I have permission to rest. It’s safe for me to rest.
I am enough.

*As an aside, over the next few weeks you might see some sweet new branding designs being used here on my feed. Much appreciation to for her crazy amazing creative skills! ✨💖✨

I’m over the moon with teaching Yin Yoga on Friday mornings now!
I pulled two cards for this day, as we are nearing the end of Virgo season, nearing the end of Earth Season in 5 element theory. Autumn equinox is on Sunday!

The Emperor and Rest. Taking autonomy of your own needs and self care at this time.

Wishing you a beautiful day my friends!

After yesterday’s Tower card, today’s card the Two of Wands, now opens a portal into possibility. It calls you to lift your gaze beyond the horizon, to sense the unseen paths and opportunities waiting for you. This is a threshold moment, where what you’ve already mastered becomes the foundation for what is yet to unfold. The card whispers of visioning, sacred choice, and the courage to step outside the comfort of the known, trusting that each intentional step aligns you with your soul’s greater journey.

May the spark of your inspiration and that of spirit light your path forward today. ✨

The Tower card keeps appearing for me again, signaling a call to get grounded and rebalance. Nothing stays in full bloom forever as growth needs periods of pause and release.

Also the idea of perfection is just an illusion. As soon as we think we've reached the pinnacle, something will come along and mess it all up again, which is perfectly normal and natural.

I’ve been deliberately working at uncoupling from the patriarchal idea of perfectionism and it isn’t easy for me. Control helps us to feel secure but it leaves no room for creativity and magic. It tells us that we can’t trust our own magic and creativity. Like everything there has to be a balance I believe. A middle path.

*Btw, did you see what I did there in the caption of the photo? I made a typo, but didn’t notice until after I posted. Hilarious really. 😆 So I’m going to thumb my nose at patriarchy and will leave it as is. I don’t think that you’ll stop following me because of a typo. But it’s not easy to just leave it. Here’s to more magick and mess✨*

Anyways - The Tower invites us to shed outdated beliefs.
What thoughts no longer serve you?
What mental constructs need dismantling for you to live a more an authentic and inspired life?

On Sunday Oct 19 I’m leading a day yin yoga retreat, focusing on rest and release so as to help you more align with your intuition, creativity and inspiration. Let me know if you'd like to be added to the interest list. ✨ More details to be released soon.

Have a magickal and messy day!

For me over time, having a teacher, mentor, or circle to return to has felt like tending to a sacred rhythm. Whether it’s been weekly gatherings or seasonal touchstones, this steady weaving of connection has helped me to root deeper, grow stronger, and to walk my path with more ease.

It doesn’t make life perfect by any means, but it’s absolutely help me to stay more grounded, centered, and aligned with my purpose.

Right now I’m deep into planning for my upcoming yin yoga classes (starting Fri Sept 12, 10-11:15), and a beautiful full day autumn retreat on Oct 19

Let me know if either of these offerings interest you, and I’ll send you more info.

Our Story

Welcome to my page. My name's Irene and I'm a healer and an intuitive and for the past 10 years I’ve been supporting people with body-mind-soul healing. I use a very holistic approach, and integrate experience in a counselling field background with Jin Shin Do Acupressure, Reiki, intuitive counselling, mediumship, yoga and meditation. The bodywork I offer helps relieve pain and various physical and emotional issues. I use a mindful and trauma sensitive approach, integrating chinese acupuncture theory, Taoism, myofacial release, and somatic awareness.

I feel the energy of people and places, and use this sensitively to help people to live a more balanced and empowered life. As a medium I communicate with spirit and receive messages and guidance from loved ones who've crossed over, as well as from angels and guides. And a perfect compliment to all of this, is to practice and teach yin yoga and meditation. It really helps me to keep grounded and centred, and in turn I can share with others what has been of such huge benefit to me. I’m vey grateful and honoured to work with each person who comes my way, and feel honoured to work with Spirit in being a channel for physical, emotional and spiritual healing. I'm also married to a very amazing man that I adore, and have three wonderful grown children, as well as a very sweet black lab named Taz. I live on beautiful Vancouver Island, and love being near water, lots of trees and green spaces. I love yoga, meditation, writing some poetry, hiking and playing with energy and growing and learning in all things spiritual. I also love music, and cozying up next to our fireplace with a great book - usually something spiritual or soul-full, as I love exploring new thoughts and learning new ideas. I invite you to take a look through my website to learn more about my offerings and also to see what people have said about their experience in working with me. xo
