Yes yes!!! Great reminder

‼️HALLOWEEN REMINDER‼️

🍫A kit kat bar does NOT equal 8 minutes on the elliptical!!! It equals about 45 seconds of crisp oven baked wafer fingers smothered in smooth and creamy milk chocolate, NOTHING ELSE.

If you eat a piece of candy every single day, nothing will happen to your body composition or your gym performance.

NOW, if you ONLY eat candy, then we need to have a real discussion about adding some fruits, veggies, proteins, and whole grains in. ⚖️

We always have chocolate or sweets around. It becomes way less emotionally powerful, and our body and brain are used to having it available - the more abundant a food is, the less chaotic we feel around it. It took time to feel this way. Abundance and unconditional permission 🍭🍫🍬 are the key to feeling calm and neutral about candy (and any food, for that matter!).

Some of our clients have talked about their “sugar addiction”. Through conversation and some digging, we’ve discovered they were not eating enough actual food, not eating enough carbs, or proteins, and restricting/demonizing certain foods. They couldn’t control themselves around sugar because they were hungry. Like, REALLY hungry.

LOVE MY MONDAYS!!!
Spot Light on these amazing powerful athletes! Some of them are newer to my class and some have been lifers;)! I am so proud of each one of them! I have seen them all grow be get stronger, more functional and more confident!!! All these ladies challenged them self so much in the last two classes I had to take photos and share how amazing they all are!!!

If you want to get in on these classes there is still spots available to do the month!

Love this had to share💕!!

❗ WE DO NOT EAT CLEAN
❗ WE ARE NOT DISIPLINED (we have created some good habits)
❗ WE DO NOT FOLLOW A “PLAN”
❗ WE HAVE NEVER DONE A "CLEANSE"
❗ WE DO NOT REPLACE FOOD WITH SHAKES OR SUPPLEMENTS
❗ WE DO NOT DO ANY TYPE OF FASTING
❗ WE ARE 53 YEARS OLD PARENTS OF 2 KIDS
❗ WE DO TAKE CARE OF OUR BODIES AND OUR MINDS allowing ourselves to enjoy ALL foods.

The messed up attitude and fear of food in society is normalizing not-normal relationships with eating. This whole culture sucks the enjoyment, the social aspects, the pleasure – right out of food. Don’t be fooled: that is not normal eating.

Every “healthy eating plan” I ever followed taught me to have a toxic relationship to food. All that fear, shame and guilt…. oh ma GOSH. The mental monopoly was way too much.

To have a healthy relationship with food and body took time, patience, and lots of reassuring myself - it is ok to eat what I really want to eat! That does not mean pizza every night… we make sure to eat daily in a way that serves our goals of having energy and strength. (lots of lean protein, complex carbs and veggies/fruits) We fit the more indulgent foods in when we really want them.

Craig and I have learned to be PRESENT with food, and take pleasure from it. We eat mindful and slow (unless we are having a crazy day…it happens) and go by our hunger and fullness cues.

➡ Food is pleasure, but it is also fuel that is made up of different varieties of it and broken down into your macros of protein, carbs and fats.
➡ You will learn that they can all fit into your daily calories and macros and essentially nothing is off limits.
➡ You just have to decide what types of food you want to eat to achieve your goals and play a little food Tetris. We can help with that!
➡ Food has been demonized so many times and labeled “good” or “bad” or “clean”... all of which are just labels and often lead people to have feelings of guilt or shame when it comes to eating.

Moderation and balance are the foundations of a healthy diet. There are no “good” or “bad” foods.⁣
If you truly understood nutrition you would know that classifying foods in a false dichotomy of "good" and "bad" is the worst thing to do.

This was so tasty!!!

I made a high protein breakfast pita pocket with great flavor and it was so fast and easy to make! This is a new staple for me for breakfast!!! Yum

Greek breakfast pocket
1/2 pita pocket
Laying in
Broccoli sprouts, feta cheese, 2 slices bacon (Pete’s mountain meats double smoked bacon🤤), last night leftover homemade 😋 Tzatziki, tomato slices, and 3 fresh farm eggs scrambled!!!

Full of colour, flavor, herbs, natural, and local. This lovely lil’ pocket has a whopping 30g of protein!!

Tip I have pre cut extra container and pre made sauce for easy quick on the go! Can even pre cook your bacon and eggs if you need to make it a faster prep😉😝!!

Now I am fueled up for the day!!

Also had a coffee, and big glass water, and half a nectarine(my lil girl half half😜🙄 mom life!)
