Newly added to our Library of Things collection, in partnership with Hospice Muskoka , are three curated kits for people experiencing grief. Most people connect grief with death, but it can also happen after losing a relationship, a job, a pet, good health, or even a big life change. In short, grief shows how deeply we care. Grief Kits are intended to offer information, comfort, and guidance during difficult times. Most of all, they are a reminder that you are not alone.
You can search for 'Grief Kits' in our online catalogue, or find them easily by clicking on our Library of Things section of our website.

The holidays can be a challenging time when you’re navigating grief and loss.
You may feel torn between skipping the holidays, participating while feeling overwhelmed, or even feeling guilty for looking forward to them. Setting healthy boundaries and finding small, meaningful ways to honour your loved one can help you move through this season.
Whether it’s creating a memory jar, lighting a candle, or simply allowing yourself to feel—joy, sadness, anxiety, or everything in between—remember: you’re doing the best you can in a situation no one can prepare for.
Take care of your heart this holiday season ♥️

The Honourable Graydon Smith visited Hospice Muskoka last week to learn about our exciting new program, Andy’s House at Home. The program allows people to receive palliative care at home with the support of a multidisciplinary team that is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Andy's House at Home is designed to care for people at home, circumventing unnecessary visits to the hospital.
During his visit, Graydon met with members of Andy Potts Memorial Foundation, along with Hospice Muskoka's Board and staff, to pledge his ongoing support for improved funding from the Ministry of Health. We are deeply grateful to have Graydon advocating for the growth of our vital programs and services. Thank you 💛
