There is another way alcohol and drug addicts can live, if they choose to. In 1988 Billy and Kim had found a way out of the hell they were separately living in, met each other, fell in love, got married and decided they would commit their lives to creating place of safety. They embarked on a journey to help addicts find a new way of life. The dream they both shared was to provide a safe place where people with drug addiction and alcoholism problems could find the hope to save their own lives. Billy and Kim Weselowski simple wanted to pass on the message:
“There is another solid, concrete, action-driven way to live – one that is not a life of horror, degradation and loneliness, and one free from disease of addiction to alcohol and drugs”
This vision to create a safe and nurturing community for men and women suffering from addiction grew from humble beginnings in half of a Coquitlam, BC duplex. Today InnerVisions is a major part of the comprehensive, sobriety driven continuum that has helped thousands of people get and stay sober. Over twenty years later, Billy and Kim have never given up on the belief that dreams do come true, for InnerVisions and for you. InnerVisions has become a nationally respected and recognized non-profit recovery society. Our residential treatment program has received the highest accreditation possible. For the last several years, InnerVisions has been awarded finalist status for excellence in the preventions and treatment of substance abuse by the Donner Foundation. The Donner Foundation recognizes Canadian non-profit organizations every year for exemplifying excellence in the delivery of community-based programs. Our staff and former clients have appeared on public & network television, radio, print media and speaking events to candidly discuss and educate professionals and public about addiction. We have provided training support to several school districts in our community, the RCMP, and a variety of Aboriginal groups. InnerVisions and the members of our organization have been recognized locally, provincially, nationally, and internationally as recipients of several awards. Our staff continues to support other dedicated community organizations via board and committee involvement, including the Canadian Counselors Certification Federation, the Alcohol and Drug Information Council, The Salvations Army Community Council, the Psychiatric Nurses Association, the Aboriginal Homeless Steering Committee, and the Regional Steering Committee for Homelessness. We are respected and trusted as a voice for awareness, treatment and prevention of one of the deadliest issues to plague our communities. Billy and Kim are very proud of the people involved with InnerVisions and the work that is done here. They truly believe in helping to make a difference in the lives of those who need it.

Congratulations to Mike on 2 years of sobriety!

Over the past two years, you have shown what is possible when determination meets daily effort. Sobriety is not just about abstaining; it is about rebuilding, growing, and choosing a better life one day at a time. Your journey reflects courage, accountability, and a willingness to face challenges head-on, and that is something to be deeply respected.

✨️5 YEARS✨️Patrick, You are a true example that nothing in life is impossible.
After many attempts previously, you made the decision to quit using substances. You had little more than a roof over your head for the first time in years. And no real plan.
Over the past 5 years, you have proven yourself to be a principled business owner, consistent partner, and loving son (grandson, nephew, cousin).
Your commitment to your overall health and the success of yourself and those you love is truly inspiring. Your strength to navigate the difficult events that life brings is found in your ability to keep showing up, even on the hardest days.
Every year at this time, I am excited to write a testimony about how far you've come since you set out on your recovery journey. I always feel this sense of pride that the recognition you receive will bring tears. Because this emotion you have reminds me that you are by far the most loving, caring, and genuine person I have ever met.
Congratulations on 5 years, Patrick! We are so grateful that you are here, steady and present, choosing growth and love every day. Sharing this life with you is a gift ❤️ You are so very loved

Congratulations to Charity on her 3rd year sober!! 🩷Today, we honor a woman who has spent the last three years rebuilding her life with courage, grace, and a heart full of love. Three years sober — and in that time, she’s grown into someone who lifts others simply by being herself. Her kindness is the kind that softens edges. Her love is the kind that reminds people they matter. Her recovery is the kind that inspires hope in everyone around her. Three years of becoming the most genuine, compassionate version of herself. We couldn't be more proud of you honey 🌷🩷

On behalf of everyone at Prairie, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Port Moody Rotary Club for hosting your annual Chili Day at our house.

Your generosity, time, and commitment to community service were reflected in the care and effort you put into this event. Sharing a warm, home-cooked meal may seem simple, but for many of our residents it represents connection, dignity, and the reminder that they are supported by a community that truly cares. The atmosphere you created was welcoming and uplifting, and it had a meaningful impact on everyone who participated.

We are deeply grateful for your continued partnership and for the positive difference you make through initiatives like this. Your ongoing support strengthens our work and reinforces the importance of community collaboration in fostering recovery, stability, and hope.

Thank you once again for your kindness and for making this annual event such a valued tradition at Prairie.

Sincerely,

the InnerVisions team 💜
