I’m seeing many parents feeling overwhelmed with the new funding changes in BC.

So I wanted to simplify it.

Yes, the system is changing.
Yes, funding will look different.

But what truly makes a difference in your child’s progress…
has never been the amount.

It’s how that support is used.

If you ever need guidance on what your child actually needs, I’m here 🌈🩵

Autism is not one way of being…
it’s a spectrum of unique ways of thinking, feeling, and learning.

As an Early Childhood Specialist, I see this every day.
Each child processes the world differently, and that’s not something to “fix”…
it’s something to understand and support.

When we shift from correction to guidance, everything changes.

Today is a reminder to create spaces where every child feels seen, safe, and understood 🌈

I don’t just work with children.
I understand how they learn.

I’m the founder of Tots Zone 🌈

As an Early Childhood Specialist and Neurolearning Educator, I design play-based sessions with clear structure and intention, based on what each child actually needs.

Each session is focused, purposeful, and adapted to how that child learns best.

That’s where real progress comes from.

🌈Pretend play helps children practice real life skills in a natural way. When they create stories, serve food, or act out everyday situations, their brain is working on language, decision making, social interaction and problem solving at the same time.

These moments help children organize ideas, express emotions and build confidence while they play. At Tots Zone we use play intentionally because the brain learns best through experience.

It’s not “just blocks.”

It’s structured cognitive training disguised as play.

During guided construction activities, children are strengthening:

• Executive function
• Emotional regulation
• Motor planning
• Visual-spatial reasoning
• Frustration tolerance

What looks simple is actually foundational brain work.

When play is intentional, skills transfer into the classroom, social settings, and everyday problem-solving.

That’s the difference between entertainment and development.

We explored Our Small City
a playful activity that helps children recognize community places and understand the role of different vehicles and helpers. 🚒🚑🏫

Through parallel play, the kids observe, explore, and process information at their own pace while developing:

✨ Environmental awareness
✨ Functional language
✨ Basic social rules
✨ Understanding community roles

Everything happens naturally, visually, and in a way that feels safe for them.
Every child learns in their own way… and that’s progress, too. 💛🌈
