🤍 A bittersweet goodbye 🤍

After four incredible years, we are sharing a goodbye with our very own Taylor — one of Laka’s true OGs, with us since 2021.

Taylor has poured so much care, heart, and intention into supporting our clients and our community. Her presence has helped shape Laka into what it is today, and her impact will be felt long after her final session.

While we are deeply sad to see her go, we are also incredibly proud of her and fully supportive of this next chapter and adventure ahead. Growth sometimes means change and we’re cheering her on every step of the way.

Thank you, Taylor, for your dedication, compassion, and the countless lives you’ve touched. Once Laka, always Laka 🤍

The Laka wellness team took our “practice what you preach” motto very seriously this week and checked into The Dover George in Port Dover for a full afternoon of small-town luxury.

Port Dover, you really showed off with this one. The Dover George is the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve escaped to a luxury getaway, but you’re still right here in our own backyard. And the food? Better than any five-star restaurant across the globe — and somehow it’s tucked away in our little lakeside town.

✨ The Funeral Theory ✨

Spotify Wrapped just exposed our household… 😂
Sam: 1 day of listening this year.
Hubby: 20 DAYS.
Twenty. Days.
Like… sir, do you even sleep? Do you work?
At this point he’s basically running a private music therapy clinic in his truck.

And honestly, anyone else out there still a radio loyalist like Sam?
The girl can’t even compete with the Spotify dynasty her husband brings to the table.
She’s out here hitting FM, while he’s basically curating soundtracks for every mood, memory, intrusive thought, and snack break.

But here’s the thing… whether you’re a one-day listener or a 20-day auditory athlete…
Music really does something for our mental health. It regulates our nervous system, shifts our mood, holds space for our big feelings, and sometimes says what we can’t find the words for.

So whether your “Wrapped” is a tiny novella…

Mentally, I’m here … under the palms, warm breeze, zero responsibilities.
Physically… I’m where the laundry isn’t folded, the emails keep multiplying, and the to-do list somehow learned how to grow legs. 😅

But honestly?
That’s the power of visual imagery.
When the world feels overwhelming, your mind still gets to choose a softer place to land.
You can step out of survival mode for a moment. You can breathe deeper than the chaos around you. You can picture something calm, steady, and warm … even if your real life feels anything but.

They both had that universal parent urge of:
“I NEED A BREAK… but also I guess everyone is coming with me.”
