Phil and Marie held the 3rd Port Dover Ball Hockey Tournament over this past very hot humid weekend. Besides plenty of hydration available for fans and players there was ice cream provided by Breyer's of Friday. On Saturday afternoon the kids were thrilled to have the Norfolk Fire Department provide a cooling spray of water and gave out Fire Fighter hats! On Sunday Finals day they had water balloon contests. The kids had a blast and the community was there in full support. Thanks to everyone who made this weekend a great success.

Happy Fathers Day! I think my Father would have liked my small garden. It is just the right size for my stage of life. A few Tomatoes, Hot Peppers, Basil, Oregano, Parsley and Garlic. My garlic looks robust, almost ready to harvest. Everything you need to make a good 100% home made Tomato Sauce (Sugo).

Over the last 15 years, Victoria Eldercare has become Norfolk County's premier private Home Care supplier. We are here to serve. The two week Robin journey is over. All four fledglings have successfully left the nest. The Runt had trouble flying after it left the nest, so the mother fed it worms on our front porch all day Thursday and by evening it was flying. It was great for the grandkids to see 'nature in action', we all enjoyed them.

The chicks are making clicking sounds, barely fitting in the nest now, fully feathered.

The four little chicks are starting to move around quite a bit, they can raise their heads up and over the edge of the nest. They will be test flying by early next week.

The little Chicks can now see over the top of the nest and and noisily call out for food. They now are becoming well formed and the eyes look like they are just about to open. Cool stuff.
