Hormonal Shifts are huge, (androgen drives puberty), your sebaceous glands are highly sensitive to androgen shifts (like testosterone). Peri- menopause
In your 30s, declining progesterone and estrogen can make androgens more dominant, leading to increased oil and, for women, acne around the jawline.

Chronic stress increases cortisol, which also triggers the sebaceous glands to produce more oil.

Genetics, if parent(s) have oily skin, it is likely you inherited larger, more active oil glands

Diet, food sensitivity, lifestyle and improper daily skin care or the wrong formulation for your skin all playing a role in this complicated stage of skin age management

Hydration is crucial for healthy, radiant skin #1

— but let’s clear up some myths around what it actually means and how to achieve it. There’s a lot of misinformation out there, and it’s time to separate fact from fiction!

🔍 Myth #1: Drinking More Water Will Fix Dry Skin

While staying hydrated is essential for overall health, it doesn't automatically mean hydrated skin.
You won't die if your skin is dehydrated but you could if your organs become dehydrated. Eg. our kidneys are a gready organ when it comes to water. Actually your blood vessels hold a significant portion of your body's total water weight.

When we have inflammation in the skin, those blood vessels are week. We need to reduce inflammation to increase hydration. The body needs a way to draw that hydration to the skin.

Drinking water supports the skin’s internal hydration, but you also need effective topical products to reinforce the skin barrier and lock in moisture. That's where a HUMECTANT is essential. It acts like a sponge drawing hydration into the skin.
