🦷 The Canadian Dental Care Plan has launched! 🦷

Currently, seniors 65 and above can qualify if:

✅you do not have access to dental insurance
✅your adjusted family income is less than $90,000
✅you are a Canadian citizen
✅you filed your taxes in 2023

DOES THIS MEAN ALL RECOMMENDED DENTAL NEEDS WILL BE COVERED?

Not necessarily…

CDCP coverage depends on income.. you could be covered at 100%, 60% or 40%
CDCP has frequency limitations and may not cover all your appointments within a year.

FOR EXAMPLE: CDCP covers 4units of cleaning per year. This is equivalent to 1 hour of cleaning and wouldn’t be enough to fully cover some clients yearly needs.
CDCP is still VERY HELPFUL for everyone who qualifies and I am excited and hopeful this will help increase access to care for our seniors ❤️

Fluoride helps prevent tooth decay by making the tooth more resistant to acid attacks from plaque bacteria and sugars in the mouth.
Many of my senior clients are considered high risk due to decreased dexterity resulting in decreased home care, change in diet, and decreased saliva due to medications. These clients benefit from regular fluoride to help prevent cavities. Prevention is key!!! What product is my favourite? Oral Science Fluorimax- super fast and easy application ✅

6 months ago I made the biggest career leap and started my own mobile dental hygiene business. I absolutely LOVE what I do and LOVE helping people access dental hygiene services easily. So many people have helped and encouraged me along the way. I have some pretty amazing people in my corner cheering me on and celebrating my successes with me!
