🚨 Saugeen Shores Lifesaving Club in Action🚨
This week is National Drowning Prevention Week, and we’re reminded just how crucial water safety — and trained responders — truly are.
On Monday evening, as the Saugeen Shores Lifesaving Club practice wrapped up, the team members didn’t just train — they acted.
Hearing cries for help from the water, team members immediately responded, racing to assist three adults in distress.
Thanks to their quick action and training, everyone made it to safety. 🙌👏
💪 What is the Saugeen Shores Lifesaving Club?
This incredible group of athletes trains up to 10 times per week, preparing not only for provincial and national competitions, but for real-life emergencies. They train in lifesaving techniques, water rescues, fitness, and teamwork — and their dedication makes a difference.

✔️ Always supervise children (and your friends)
✔️ Wear a lifejacket on open water -- follow the safety rules for your specific craft and swim responsibly
✔️ Know your limits and skills — situations can change in an instant
We’re incredibly proud of our Lifesaving Club — not just for their athletic achievements, but for their team work, dedication and quick response time to a real life situation that could have otherwise not ended positively.
