Day 9 of the ‘12 Days of Giving’ 🎁
Nursing Homes Without Walls - Strait Shores! 👵👴
Here’s a group that is seriously doing the most amazing work in our community! 😍 A group that is often overlooked and underserved - this organization is making a change. They work toward helping seniors in our community have the support and connection that is so vital.
From applications for funding for home repairs, to transportation to appointments, to meals, this group does it all. 🙏
On top of all of the work that they do with seniors - they also have a full calendar of events (I was lucky enough to attend a coffee group last year). But here are some things they have on the go this month:
- Exercise class Tuesday and Thursdays at the Baie Verte Hall (10am)
- Coffee Groups on Tuesday in Cape Tormentine (1pm), and Wednesdays in Baie Verte (10am)
- Along with painting events, hair cuts, games day, cookie exchange - truly endless
