"A Message from an Exhausted but Hopeful Mama
Three weeks ago, our sweet daughter Finley made an early arrival, born four weeks premature because she just couldn’t wait to be here. After experiencing the devastating loss of our first daughter, Mavis, at 26 weeks last November, Finley is truly our miracle.
Those first few weeks in the NICU were some of the longest and most challenging of our lives—watching her navigate feeding tubes, IVs, incubators, and moments where she’d stop breathing, turning purple and giving us the scare of a lifetime.
With the incredible care and guidance of NICU nurses, pediatricians, midwives, and occupational therapists, Finley grew stronger, and we gained the skills and confidence to bring her home. Unfortunately, within just two days, her episodes worsened, and we found ourselves back at the hospital. Watching her go through it all again—another NG tube, the scary moments where she turns purple and blue—has been heartbreaking and exhausting.
This journey was completely unexpected for us. I’m self-employed and have no maternity leave, while my husband has had to extend his parental leave to support us during this difficult time. The financial strain has been overwhelming, and we’ve been asked by many wonderful people how they can help.
Asking for help isn’t easy, but this is for our family and for Finley. If you are able to donate—even just $5 so we can grab a coffee—it would mean the world to us. Every little bit helps us focus on what matters most: being there for our little girl and helping her thrive into a happy, healthy baby.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far—you truly have no idea how much it means to us.

very exhausted and worried parents"
