Morris has been coming to our Salt Cave since we opened 6 years ago and he always brightens up our days with his funny comments that make us all laugh and handmade gifts that bring us smiles. He is a wonderful Soul with many talents.

Morris loves working with wood in his workshop and getting creative. He made us this bright gorgeous red sleigh ornament which is perfect for our little tree. Just wanted to share our appreciation for Morris and his wonderful talent that keeps him busy bringing smiles to others. Isn't that what life is about? Sharing our creative energy in ways that make our life experience meaningful with one another.

The holidays are fast approaching and with it arrives the New Year! For me, December is a time when I like to reflect back on the year and acknowledge the memories I will cherish forever and acknowledge the challenges I faced that led to my growth.

Life is an evolving journey, and before I step into the New Year, I like to take inventory of what I want to leave behind and what I want to carry forward. Doing this helps me begin the New Year with fresh energy, excitement and wonder for the days that are yet to come.

December is also my birthday month, as such, I like to focus my energy on gratitude for life, and my ability to serve others. I love closing the year with some kind of offering for my community.

One year ago I received a call that my Dad had passed away. I froze in time although the world continued around me.

I was at Shantee Healing and still clearly remember the 2 clients who held me in hugs. Ironically, I was supposed to read for one who was grieving the loss of her father that day. We both connected with tears, complete strangers, yet holding each other in compassion.

It was a sh*tty day, for me, yet I carry gratitude for the blessings of human connection that were present. There is always a blessing in pain when we begin to look.

Loss is never easy, and I know many have been in this place and can relate. It doesn't get easier with time, yet we learn to adapt.
We learn that life is precious and your next breath isn't guaranteed. We learn to take in the moments that hold us in genuine presence while letting go of those with little value more easier than before. Death is a great teacher, reminding us to sink into each moment a little deeper in reverence to life.

I write and share in honour of my Dad in order to keep his memory alive. I would not be who I am without him. I continue to feel his presence with me when I meditate, light incense or pray as this is how he spent his life. He was a man like no other, pure light and love., and my spiritual teacher. 🙏🏼

For those of you who may be experiencing loss of a loved one, may you continue to honor the life force that holds you, even when you can no longer hold onto pieces of it that you once held. 💜

My Spirit is fulfilled witnessing this beautiful group of souls start their journey as Reiki Level 2 Practitioners. I feel blessed to be a part of this magnificent collaboration of energy that came about today in the most perfect form. The healing, learning, laughter and connection shared was bliss filled.

Many visit us for our empowerment coaching services, and many other services to help you take care of you! Some come to shop our retail boutique and take home something special and meaningful!
