Another federal budget passed - another year of Registered Massage Therapists not exempt from HST. So disappointing.

Did you know we are one of the only health care providers to still charge and remit HST?

Once upon a time we were told that when we have 5 regulated provinces, we could be HST exempt. That happened in 2019. Saskatchewan is close to regulation and that will make 6.

5 years later, we are still not exempt. Despite hundreds of emails on our association's behalf to the Ontario Minister of Health, thousands of signatures petitioning this, and emails to MP's.

Massage Therapists are health care providers. We should be exempt from HST to offer more affordable health care. Just like these providers, that are already exempt;

Doctors, Nurses, Dentists, Chiropractors, Chiropodists, Physiotherapists, Naturopaths, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists & Dieticians.

Hey everyone, just wanted to update you. I was hoping to be back to work next week, but unfortunately, complications after surgery has delayed my healing. I am hoping to be back beginning of April! I have cancelled any appointments for next week & will message you when I know a date I’m back. Thanks for all the well wishes & see you soon!

Just an update - my surgery was moved again, so the week of January 29th is now open for booking!

Happy New Year! Wishing you all the best in 2024. Just wanted to let my clients know (for those that don't know already), I will be having surgery end of January. I will keep you updated with my return date, but it will likely be first or second week of March. January schedule is open, see you in the meantime!

Happy Monday!

Just a heads up that Walton Street will be closed again from Julia to Pine for approximately 3 weeks. The bottom of Thomas street is also closed.

Sorry for the inconvenience, hoping this is the end of it!

EDIT: talked to someone today - you should still be able to get through and park in my driveway, except the days they’re paving (sometime next week - will keep everyone posted here).

Big news! Walton Street now has a road and curbs and sidewalks!! If you have an appointment this week, feel free to park in the driveway again 😊

*EDIT* they’re finishing up some small paving stuff - so it’s back to parking on the road today 🙃

Just another update that Walton Street is still a mess. Still no driveway. Sidewalks continue to be blocked off at certain points. Sorry for the mess, and thanks for your understanding. I’m over it too.

Construction is right out front of my house now. No access to my driveway, but you can still park further up Walton. I’m not sure how long this will be - likely a couple weeks. If you want to reschedule your upcoming appointment, please text or email me.
