Red Dress Day (May 5) is a day to honour and remember Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S). ❤️
The red dresses we see displayed in communities are powerful symbols—representing the thousands of Indigenous lives lost and the ongoing impact this crisis has on families, communities, and future generations. The colour red is believed to be the only colour spirits can see, calling them home and ensuring they are not forgotten.
This day is about more than awareness—it’s about listening, learning, and standing in solidarity while supporting Indigenous voices and calls for justice.
Take a moment today to reflect, educate yourself, and hold space for those affected. Every story matters. Every life matters.
