Communication is essential to how we live, learn, and connect.
May is , and this year’s theme is Access Changes Everything. Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC) dedicates the month of May to raising public awareness about communication health.
In Canada, roughly 1 in 10 people experiences a communication disorder. With the right support, individuals of all ages can build skills, stay connected, and maintain independence. Access to care is not equal for everyone — particularly in Indigenous communities - many Canadians continue to face systemic barriers to receiving timely services.
Come visit Carlin Bannister, RSLP and Vanessa Mariz, SLPA at PlayWorks Physio to learn more about speech, language, and communication strategies and resources to support your child.
Because play, works.
