Family physicians are often the first line of defense against cancer, screening for symptoms and signs so patients can receive care as soon as possible. Our doctors are always working hard to increase cancer screening rates for our community.

The team at MAPP is honoured to share the news that we’ve been recognized by the Central East Regional Cancer Program for our efforts in cancer screening:

-Highest performing cancer screening group and highest improved cancer screening group within the Central East Region: Medical Associates of Port Perry (Ontario Cervical Screening Program, OCSP) (2024)
-Top cancer screening primary care providers within the Central East Region: Dr. Nancy Kazarian (2024 - colon cancer), Dr. Andrea Gauster (2023 - breast cancer), Dr. Rebecca Wray (2023 - breast cancer)
