Is it even yoga if there’s no Shavasana? 🪷
After moving, stretching, and breathing with intention — there’s something sacred about lying together in stillness. That final rest isn’t just the “end” of practice… it is the practice. ✨
Shavasana (pronounced sha-VAH-sah-nah) — also known as Co**se Pose — is the moment we integrate everything we’ve cultivated on the mat. It’s where the body, mind, and spirit come into alignment.
🕊️ Why we always include a full 10 minutes of Shavasana at Lotus Loft:
 • It allows your nervous system to shift into rest and repair, helping balance stress hormones and restore energy.
 • Your muscles and fascia absorb the physical benefits of your practice, supporting deep healing and release.
 • Your breath slows, calming the mind and creating space for reflection and clarity.
 • It nurtures emotional regulation, helping you process and release whatever surfaced during your flow.
 • And energetically, it’s the moment your prana (life force) settles — the body’s energy fields realign and integrate.
This stillness teaches us surrender — to trust that we don’t always have to do more to receive more. 🌿
So next time you’re tempted to roll up your mat early, remember:
Shavasana is where the yoga lands.
It’s where you embody peace.
It’s where you remember who you are beneath all the doing.
🪷 Rest isn’t the reward for your practice — it’s part of it.
