Registration is now open for our next 8-week yoga session at the Scugog Island Hall, and we have a few spots available 😊 This session starts January 6th.

The start of a new year is the perfect time to create healthy routines and take better care of yourself. Our weekly yoga classes are a great way to support both your mind and body and build balance into your week.

Looking for a Backup Yoga Instructor! 🌿

We’re growing our community offerings and are looking for a backup instructor to cover our Gentle Flow classes in the event of illness or vacation, just a few times a year.

🧘‍♀️ Class Details:
• Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays
• 6:00 PM
• Held in various locations throughout the community

This is a great opportunity for a certified yoga instructor who enjoys flexible, occasional teaching and loves bringing mindful movement to new spaces.

Today marks 5 years since I opened my yoga business. 💜

What an incredible journey it’s been — filled with so much growth and gratitude. I’ve met so many beautiful souls who have inspired me, supported me, and helped me grow not only as a yoga instructor, but as a person.

Five years later, I’m teaching 8 classes a week, sharing yoga throughout the community, offering two classes at an Addiction Recovery Center (truly the most meaningful work I do), and even leading chair yoga for clients some close to 100 years old — thats inspiration!

I am incredibly grateful for this community and for every single person who has been part of this journey. Each of you has left an imprint on my heart. 💜✨

Here’s to the past 5 years… and to whatever beautiful moments the next 5 will bring. 🙏🧘‍♀️💫

Launching any new business can be can be very scary and nerve-wracking and believe me I've gone through all the feelings the last few weeks. With every class full, I've met some amazing people who have truly inspired me and as I reflect, I know this is exactly where I'm supposed to be. My heart is full 💓Thank you everyone for all support, kind messages, likes and shares!

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

This season is all about gratitude — and I am so thankful for each and every one of you. Your dedication, presence, and energy each of you bring to our classes every week 💛

After five minutes of Savasana both the body and mind can begin to experience noticeable physiological and psychological shifts — even in such a short time. Here’s a breakdown of what typically happens:



🧠 Mind:
Mental slowing and calmness
Racing thoughts often begin to slow down, though they may still come and go.
Reduction in anxiety or stress
If practiced with awareness, even five minutes of Savasana can activate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest-and-digest mode), reducing the fight-or-flight response.
Improved focus and clarity:
You may feel more mentally clear, grounded, and present after this short reset.

🧍 Body:
1. Drop in heart rate and blood pressure:
• The cardiovascular system begins to relax. Heart rate can slow, and blood pressure may decrease slightly.
2. Muscular relaxation:
• Muscles start to release held tension. Gravity helps passively relax areas that might hold unconscious stress (jaw, shoulders, hips).
3. Deeper breathing:
• The breath often naturally slows and deepens, increasing oxygenation and helping to further calm the body.
4. Release of physical fatigue:
• Especially if done after a yoga session or long day, Savasana allows the body to rest and repair, aiding recovery.

🧘 What You Might Feel After 5 Minutes:
• A sense of peace or lightness
• Heightened body awareness
• Sleepiness or mini-nap-like reset
• Emotional release

🍁 September always feels like a gentle reset. After a summer of no schedules, spontaneous adventures, and indulging in all the things—late nights, travel, beach days, and ice cream just because—it feels grounding to return to something steady.

This time of year brings a natural shift. The days start to cool, routines return, and with them, a renewed sense of intention. It’s the perfect moment to come back to ourselves—to care for our bodies with more presence, to calm our minds, and to reconnect with what truly nourishes us. 🍂🧘‍♀️

With every class filled, my heart is, too. ❤️ Thank you for showing up, for choosing your well-being, and for sharing this space with me.

I can’t wait to move, stretch, and breathe this season. Let’s make this fall one of balance, strength, and renewal!

For many years, I thought self-care was something “nice” I’d get to someday. Often putting myself last...

What I’ve learned? It’s not a luxury — it’s a necessity.
💜 It is not selfish, it’s showing yourself love and compassion.
It doesn’t have to be big or complicated … even 5 minutes to
✨ Roll your shoulders and take 3 deep breaths before you open your emails.
✨ Step outside, close your eyes, and feel the sun on your face.
✨ Do something you love — your favourite hobby, a short walk, or a few pages of a good book.
✨ Curl up on the couch and simply be.

Small moments add up. stretch, breathe, or simply pause can make all the difference.

You matter too. Fill your cup, even just a little, every day.
