is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to providing compassionate care to individuals living with a life-threatening or terminal illness, when hope of a cure is no longer medically possible. The goal of care is to provide support and comfort to the patient and their family, whether in hospital, personal care home, or at home. At some time, in some way, we must all face the end of life.

And most of us share in a common hope: that when death comes to us or to a loved one, it will be peaceful and free of pain. We hope to be surrounded by those we love, feeling safe, comfortable and cared for. The palliative care program has been designed to help make these hopes a reality. Memory Garden in the Park
The Memory Garden in the Park was established for two reasons:
1. Provide community awareness of palliative care and information about the services the organization offers.
2. Provide a peaceful place for quiet reflection, and to honor the memory of a loved one. A Memory Wall was erected in the Memory Garden, in November 2011. To have a name added please contact infor@sunsetpalliativecare.org

We are fundraising to redesign the Memory Garden in order to include Celebration of Life ceremonies. Donations can be mailed to Box 92, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3B2. The donations received through memorial donations are intended for patient services, so funds must be raised specifically for this "Memory Garden" project. If interested, you can donate quickly and safely by contacting us at info@sunsetpalliativecare.org

Draw one of 14 is complete but IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO PARTICIPATE!
In 2025 we held two raffles and tickets were $50 each. For 2026 Sunset Palliative Care has combined their Sunshine Cash Raffle and SUV Raffle into one mega raffle where you could win OVER $69,000 in cash and prizes. Winners re-entered for the remaining draws.
Tickets $40 each or 2/$75 – that’s a $25 saving over 2025 prices if you participated in BOTH raffles!
We will have six private rooms dedicated to palliative care in the new hospital along with a rooftop garden, family room and comfort cart. FUNDS RAISED FROM THIS RAFFLE WILL HELP COVER COSTS OF THESE PROJECTS.

Sunset Palliative Care is dedicated to addressing the needs of those nearing the end of life and their families. We prioritize confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and respect for religious practices, ensuring comfort and dignity in every aspect of care.
Palliative Care is available at no cost to the individual or their family. Donations are welcomed by Sunset Palliative Care and used to support this local palliative care program. Donations can be made online at our website – sunsetpalliativecare.org. Tax receipts are issued for donations of $25 or more.
We cannot rely on donations alone to fund our services so Sunset Palliative Care has combined their Sunshine Cash Raffle and SUV Raffle into one mega raffle where you could win OVER $69,000 in cash and prizes.
