COMMUNITY!! 🩵🩵🩵

Today Joe Masi spoke on behalf of the Foundation Board to announce our exciting $725,000 contribution to mammography services at the Portage Regional Health Centre.

Some members of the Pink Ladies were in attendance to help celebrate and we know they will continue to advocate and fundraise to continue to make donations to projects like mammography services and women’s health initiatives.

Dr.Nostedt spoke about how important it is for mammography services to be accessible close to home. Early detection being key in maximizing women’s health and treatment. She is a leader and advocate in the area of breast health and we are so lucky to have her in our community.

Jenny Borgfjord is the co-founder of Breast Screening Advocates Manitoba and shared the immense value that mammography services right in Portage will have on women’s health.

Minister Asagwara discussed additional government funding to assist with staff training and ongoing costs associated with operating mammography services. Thank you for coming to Portage la Prairie and working alongside our amazing community to help make this addition possible.

Central Plains Cancer Care was also in attendance and all these groups coming together shows what working together as a community can achieve.

None of this is possible without the generosity of YOU, our donors. We are so incredibly grateful to you and we are so happy to fund such impactful projects. Breast cancer has touched everyone. We all know someone. This addition today will benefit our community, we are so grateful.
