I’ve created something I’ve been wanting to offer for a while now.

Doing vs. Being
There’s always something to do—especially in agriculture. Work to finish, animals to tend, decisions to make.
But lately, I’ve been thinking about the power of being.
Being still.
Being outside.
Being present.

When the pressure builds, and the “doing” feels like too much… I’ve found that being—even for a few minutes—helps me reconnect, reset, and find my footing again.
So here’s the question I’m sitting with:

Life in agriculture throws curve balls—hard ones. Some we catch. Others knock the wind out of us.
Last week brought three unexpected losses and the kind of emotional weight you can’t always prepare for. I was left with an orphaned calf, feelings of defeat, and a reminder of how deeply we feel this life.
In ag, pain isn’t solely emotional—it’s financial and physical, too. It’s easy to push through, but that pain doesn’t disappear—it only hides until it surfaces later. That’s why having tools to process it matters.
Remember…You don’t have to carry it alone—and you don’t have to stay stuck.
