I want to take a bit of time this morning to express a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to and donated to raise money for Love Has No Color.

We had an amazing evening of fun, good food, games, good company and music at Heartland Family Wellness. The baking and photo prints literally flew off the shelves. We raised approximately $2000 through the fundraising evening. A few food items such as Bothwell cheese, caramel corn, and perogies are still available if anyone is interested. We will sell raffle tickets for a while yet (prizes have been added and will be updated in the comments of the original fundraising post).

-Thank you to everyone that contributed time, baking, and food!
-Thank you to everyone that bought baking, raffle tickets and supported a great cause.
-Thanks to the hockey dads who stopped in and purchased several assorted plates of baking.
-Thank you to everyone who contributed in some way. It takes quite a bit to pull off an event such as this, and so many of you showed up to make it a huge success.

I want to add one last story that personally touched my heart.

At the end of the fundraising evening, I had everything packed up on the cart to take it to my car. One of the many kids staying in the hotel that day stopped by the open doors of Heartland Family Wellness and and asked me “What is this place?“ I did my best to explain it to him. He then says to me “How can I help?” and pulls $10 out of his wallet. I asked him if his parents would be ok with it and he promptly reminded me that it’s HIS money. I offered him a print or some baking, but he was not interested. As he ran off with other kids he said “I just want to help.”

I stood there, speechless and on the verge of tears at this young man’s generosity. It seemed that he was connected to to something deeper than what most see on the surface.

YOU ARE INVITED!!

At Heartland Family Wellness the giving spirit of the Christmas season is well under way with fundraising for LOVE HAS NO COLOR.

We are raising money to provide Christmas gifts for every child on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation. It is truly the most wonderful time of the year when you get to watch the kids open their presents with joy and anticipation!! It is so much fun to hang out with them and play with them and their new gift/toy!

Come join us for an evening of food, fun, games and a bake sale. Come and go as you please, or hang out and enjoy the company and a sauna.

In addition to the bake sale there are also incredible prizes you can purchase raffle tickets for! Tickets are 5 for $20 or 35 for $100.

Join us for a fun evening to support an great cause!

Pepper the Elf is back at the clinic ready to spread the Christmas cheer at Heartland. He's helping us bring hope to the children and families in Fort Peck reservation this Holiday season. Hello, Heartland Family!
